Madison Seeking County Administrator |

Madison County is seeking to fill the position of County Administrator. All interested parties are asked to review the Madison County Profile and Advertisement by going to "documents and forms" and click on "County Administrator" to review the advertisement and profile. The Madison County Commissioner of Revenue office has an opening for a full-time position. Application may be picked up at the Commissioner of Revenue office Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. New Transient Occupancy Tax |
|
Effective July 1, 2011 every lodging provider offering accommodations for rent within Madison County is required to collect a Transient Occupancy Tax from lodgers, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the rental amount paid for the accommodation. Lodging providers are required to collect the tax and remit it to Madison County on a monthly basis, on or before the 15th day of the calendar month following the month in which the rentals were collected. For a remittance form, including instructions, and a copy of the Ordinance establishing the Transient Occupancy Tax, click on "Documents and Forms" in the upper right-hand corner of this page, and then select the category "Tax Documents and Forms". |
